BSP seeks compensation for farmers

JAMMU, Mar 27: State general secretary, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Som Nath Dogra today expressed concern over the damage of crops by recent rains and hailstorms in Bishnah area and urged the Government to adequately compensate the affected farmers.
Dogra said that due to untimely rains and hailstorms, the standing crops of the farmers were damaged badly and now it is the duty of the Government to compensate the affected farmers in this need of hour.
He was on a visit of Halka Bishnah where he met with the farmers and listened to their grievances.
He also observed that the roads of the area were in deteriorated condition and the youth disappointed for want of jobs.
Dogra said that the present Government has made tall promises with the people of the State and now the time has come to fulfill them.
The BSP leader was accompanied by KL Attri, Kewal Kumar, Bansi Lal Attri, Thoru Ram, Sukha Singh Bhagat, Tara Dogra, Om Prakash, Des Raj and Tarsem Raj.
