CC discusses implementation of Agenda

JAMMU, Mar 27: The PDP-BJP 10 members Coordination Committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh met at the Chief Minister’s residence over dinner tonight and held threadbare discussions over implementation of the `Agenda of the Alliance’ and other issues to run the Government smoothly, efficiently and effectively.
BJP MP from Ladakh Thupstan Chhewang and PDP MP from Srinagar Tariq Hamid Qarra couldn’t make it to the meeting due to their pre-occupation.
Sources said the Coordination Committee decided to take immediate steps to implement `Agenda of the Alliance’. It decided to meet after every 15 days. The next meeting of the Coordination Committee will be held after the Assembly session.
The BJP members in the Coordination Committee included Dr Nirmal Singh, Deputy Chief Minister, Incharge Power Development Department, Housing and Urban Development, Jugal Kishore Sharma, State party president, Thupstan Chhewang, Lok Sabha member from Ladakh, Shamsher Singh, Rajya Sabha member and Health and Medical Education Minister Choudhary Lal Singh.
The PDP members comprised party president Mehbooba Mufti, Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Tariq Hamid Qarra, the two Lok Sabha members, Haj and Auqaf Minister Abdul Rehman Veeri and Education Minister Naeem Akhter.
Meanwhile, BJP Parliamentary Board is meeting in New Delhi tomorrow to finalize names of party MLCs, who will be nominated to the Legislative Council.
The PDP and BJP will share four seats of MLCs each in the nomination quota, which have fallen vacant in the Council.
