Army organizes Udaan drive

SRINAGAR, Mar 28: In consonance with the ongoing efforts by the Army, an Udaan drive was organized at Army Goodwill School, Chandigam by Gujjarpatti Camp under the aegis of Headquarter, 8 Sector Rashtriya Rifles. Udaan drive under Central Government scheme aims for skill development of youth, to empower them with skills and knowledge for jobs in Government Agencies and Multi National Companies.  Ravi Prakash Rao, Manager (Corporate Relations) from Indian Institute of Skills Development (IISD) conducted the screening test for all eligible candidates at Army Goodwill School, Chandigam, which is being followed by Personal Interviews on March 28 & 29, 2015.  Total 109 aspirants used this opportunity, of which 67 were interviewed on 28th and interview of balance scheduled on 29th.  The shortlisted candidates will get a chance to attend free six months training at Gurgaon by experts from various fields.  Along with training, each individual will also get free lodging/boarding, transportation allowance, messing and a stipend of Rs 2,500/-per month.
