Last year AIIMS had allotted an exam center for Jammu (J&K) and this year they have totally ignored the entire J&K State. It is open secret that JKCET MBBS Entrance Exam has already been scheduled for its commencement on 30th & 31st May, 2015, but AIIMS has also announced Online (CBT) Entrance Examination for MBBS which shall be conducted on June 1, 2015 in two shifts, “The first shift will begin at 9:00 AM in morning. Forms of said exam have been made available from March 17 to April 10, 2015 ” the prospectus reads
The Aspiring candidates from J&K, who wish to sit in both the Exams will be unable to avail the chance as there is no provision of Exam center in entire J&K State as per the AIIMS prospectus. The Aspiring candidates from J&K State, this year will have difficult time with no center allotted for the Jammu or Kashmir. It is for the first time that the AIIMS-MBBS entrance exam will be conducted online. A total of 154 centers have been made and the nearest centers, if allotted to candidates of Jammu would be in Amritsar (Panjab) which will be otherwise as half of the energy will go in travelling to reach in the center. Many AIIMS Aspiring candidate said, “There seems little bit politics in constituting the AIIMS centers, as last year AIIMS had allotted one exam center for Jammu perhaps then Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad was from J&K State and this time they have ignored the entire J&K State, on the other hand, constituted three exam centers in Himachal Pardesh as such present Union Health Minister belong to Himachal Pradesh”.
One side it is said that J&K is the Crown of India on the other side no care has been taken for this so called Crown while setting exam centers and made very difficult for the aspirants to appear in AIIMS exam after completing JKCET Exam which will be culminated on 31.5.2015 at 5 PM.
Kindly pursue the matter with AIIMS authorities for constituting Exam center in Jammu to cater the need and aspiration of the candidates J&K state.
