JK floods: Army’s top Commander in JK meets Governor

SRINAGAR:
Army’s top Commander in Jammu and Kashmir Lt Gen Subrata Saha today briefed Governor N N Vohra about the steps being taken by the Army to support the civil administration to cope with the flood situation in the Valley.
The General Officer Commanding of Srinagar-based 15 Corps, who had just returned from an aerial survey of the Valley, met Vohra at Raj Bhavan here, an official spokesman said.
He said the Army officer briefed the Governor in detail about the situation and steps being taken to support the civil administration.
The Governor also discussed with Lt Gen Saha various issues relating to internal and external security management and the arrangements being made by the Army for the security of the forthcoming yatra to Amarnath shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas, the spokesman said. (AGENCIES)
