Checking copying

Sir,
Menace of copying, cheating in the examination and massive copying bid mostly in SSE and 12th class examinations have become the order of the day. Hats off to our Education Minister who has tighten the nose by conducting Video conferencing directing all Deputy Commissioner to pay frequent visits daily in the examination halls of their respective districts in order to check this menace of copying. Constitution of  Anti copying wing in all the districts of the State with the involvement of Deputy Commissioner shall further add feather in Education Ministers’ cap  in matters of checking cheating/copying in the examination. In my view much more is required to be done in order to streamline the deteriorated examination system. The present non-detention policy upto elementary classes needs to be reviewed. In this direction respective DIETS in each district can play their vital role for monitoring the elementary classes. Zonal Level Boards be constituted for conduct of Annual Exam for class 3rd and 5th. Teachers in Primary and Elementary schools also be made accountable in matters of proving quality education to the students. Their annual increments be released on the basis of their academic performance. ZEOs are over burden with other Administrative and paper work, so DIET Faculty members should shoulder the responsibility of monitoring the elementary field schools. Screening at Pry and Elementary level is urgently needed. Remedial teaching, which is only in paper, he put in practice in its true sense for improvement the academic standard of below average students who generally restort to copying in the examination. This would certainly pave a way in checking menace of copying to a great extent.
Yours etc…
