SRINAGAR:
A fresh avalanche warning has been issued in its prone areas in north and central Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
An official spokesperson here today said the Kashmir Divisional Commissioner has issued an avalanche warning in its prone areas of Kulgam, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts.
In view of the warning, Deputy Commissioners (DCs) of Kulgam, Pulwama, Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and Ganderbal districts have been asked to advise people not to venture in avalanche prone areas during the next 24 hours.
The spokesperson said during heavy snowfall, people are advised to temporarily evacuate those locations which are under fall line of avalanches.
The concerned DCs have also been asked to take all precautionary measures so as to avert any untoward incident, he added. (AGENCIES)
