KISHTWAR, Apr 7: Police today arrested a person along with 200 grams charas from Bus Stand area here.
As per police sources, during routine checking at Bus Stand, police team led by Incharge SHO police station Kishtwar SI Nayeem Matoo intercepted a person on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 200 grams of charas and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed, son of Amin Sheikh, a resident of Kishtwar.
A case under FIR Number 48/15 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Kishtwar police station and investigation started.
Meanwhile, police also seized a car bearing registration number JK02F-8824 under Section 550 RPC, which was lying abandoned on Link Road Kishtwar under suspicious circumstances.
