SAMBA, Aug 7: A truck loaded with rice burnt after its engine caught fire while moving towards Srinagar via Mansar from Samba last night.
Reports said the mishap took place at Jamorha Morh near Mansar when the truck No. JK09/5462 was on its way to Kashmir last mid night. The truck was loaded with rice. It suddenly caught fire and the driver and cleaner jumped away from the vehicle and escaped unhurt. With in minutes the entire vehicle was surrounded by big flames and the goods worth lakhs were also destroyed.
