ADC visits Ex-servicemen Colony

JAMMU, Aug 7: Additional Dy Commissioner, Samba B S Jamwal along with team of Revenue officials visited Rajinder Vihar Ex-servicemen colony near Patti ( Raya) in connection with land acquisition process today.
The Colony is being built by Welfare Housing Organisation under the aegis of  Jammu and Kashmir Ex-Servicemen League. Jt Chairman of the Organisation, Col (Retd), Dr V K Sahi, Col (Retd) Gopal Singh Slathia, member of the WHO were also present on the occasion. They explained the layout of the colony to ADC and his team with field map.
The ADC also met the land owners who demanded disbursement of  compensation for the land being acquired. The ADC after examining the land status asked the Revenue officials including Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildars and Patwaris to prepare papers and complete the process at the earliest. It may be recalled that a large number of ex-servicemen from Army, Navy, Air Force and war widows are suffering for the last over 12 years due to non-clearance of land acquisition process of this proposed colony.
