Woman mysteriously dies at in-laws’ house

POONCH, Apr 9: The police has detained husband after a woman, working as Government teacher died under mysterious circumstances at her in-laws house.
The deceased has been identified as Jagdeep Kour (38). She hails from Jammu and was married to Jitender Singh of Poonch. Jitender works as TV/ Radio mechanic and runs own shop in Poonch city. The woman was allegedly beaten up severely and brought to the hospital in serious condition by husband and mother in law where she died after some time last night. She is survived by a minor girl and 15 year old son.
The parents of the woman and son who was also at Jammu in Nanihal arrived during wee hours today and they alleged that it was murder because Jagdeep was severely beaten up by husband, mother-in-law and sister-in- law.  She claimed that she had talk with the daughter on phone as well.
The police today sent the body for postmortem  and then handed over the body to the legal heirs.  The parents and other relatives of the woman demanded arrest of the husband and alleged that she was gagged by him. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation. It said that some marks were also visible on the neck of the deceased.
