JAMMU, Apr 10: Five-day national workshop on ‘Research Methodology’, organized by the Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu, concluded today.
JU Vice-Chancellor, Prof R D Sharma was chief guest in the valedictory function. He said that such workshops are very important for the researchers, especially those who want to pursue teaching as their career. He called upon the researchers to generate the knowledge and then share the same.
Prof Sharma said that Research must always be of high quality in order to produce knowledge that is applicable outside. He asked the researchers to work collectively by participating in such type of workshops organized by other universities so as to strengthen the process of Research Methodology.
Earlier, Prof Parvinder Kour, Head, Department of Punjabi presented welcome address while Prof Surjeet Singh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Dr Vinod Taneja of GNDU, Amritsar, also spoke on the occasion.
Harjinder Singh presented the formal vote of thanks and Dr Baljeet Kour conducted proceedings of the function.
On this occasion, the Vice Chancellor also gave away Certificates to the participants.
Fifty scholars from the departments of Punjabi, Dogri, English, Education, Geography and History participated in the five-day workshop.
During the workshop, Dr Kulvir Singh of Delhi University, Dr Vinod Taneja of GNDU Amritsar, Dr Surjeet Singh of Punjabi University Patiala, Prof Deepshikha Kotwal, Prof Parvinder Kour, HoD Punjabi, Dr Askok Kumar, Dr Baljeet Kour, Prof Rekha Choudhary and Prof Ramnika Jalali delivered lectures.
