JAMMU, Apr 10: A deputation of Tourism Federation Jammu (TFJ), led by its Chairman, Rajesh Gupta, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan today.
The deputation put forth before the Governor certain suggestions for boosting the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine pilgrimage, including an enhanced participation of the traders and tour operators and also discussed certain issues relating to the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnathji Yatra-2015.
The members of the deputation apprised the Governor about the beneficial role traders and tour operators could play in the conduct of these two Yatras and also promote the economic gains. They also discussed matters relating to the development of identified tourist destinations in Jammu division.
The deputation comprised Abhay Bakaya, President Shri Amarnathji Yatra Helicopter Tour Operators Association; B. B. Kotwal, President Travel Trade Association, Bhaderwah; Nishant Gupta, President, Association of Domestic Tour Operators of Jammu; J. P Sharma and Ankur Vaid.
P. K Tripathi, Principal Secretary to the Governor and CEO, Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, participated in the discussions.
