PDP-BJP coalition will set new standards in governance: Zulfkar

JAMMU, Apr 10: Asserting that PDP-BJP coalition will set new standards of development and growth in the State, Minister for CAPD and Tribal Affairs, Choudhary Zulfkar Ali today said the Government is firm in delivering transparent, responsible and responsive governance to the people.
“Our endeavour is to ensure transparent, accountable and responsive governance by putting in place a reformed and transformed system for the people”, Zulfkar said while addressing a gathering near Jewel Chowk here today.
Referring to various initiatives, the Minister said that the Coalition Government has drafted a vision document to steer the State on the path of development and ensure equitable development of all the regions. He said various reformative measures have been taken to provide good governance to the people by infusing transparency and accountability in the system.
He said that directions have already been given to all departments to work with utmost care to uphold the sanctity of their respective institutions by ensuring speedy disposal of public grievances as prompt public delivery system is the main mantra of the present dispensation.
Minister reiterated zero tolerance for corruption and said stringent steps will be taken to eradicate this plague which has deteriorated the system adding that all efforts will be made to provide better services to the people and safeguard and promote their interests.
‘We are committed to weed out corruption and malpractices by ensuring transparent system” he added,
Exhorting people to avail benefits of welfare and development schemes, he said that Government’s prime concern is to extend benefit of all programmes to people but they too have a responsibility towards building a strong nation.
MLCs Surinder Chowdhary, Firdous Tak and MLA Sayed Farooq Andrabi were also present on the occasion.
