Bajra edges up on scattered buying

NEW DELHI, Apr 11: Bajra prices rose by Rs 10 per quintal at the wholesale grains market today on scattered buying.

However, other grains moved in a narrow range in scattered deals and settled around previous levels. Traders said increased demand from industries amid restricted arrivals from producing belts mainly led to the rise in bajra prices.

In the capital, bajra gained Rs 10 to Rs 1,200-1,205 per quintal.

Wheat MP (desi) 2,250-2,630, Wheat dara (for mills) 1,600-1,605, Chakki atta (delivery) 1,615-1,620, Atta Rajdhani (10 kg) 220, Shakti Bhog (10 kg) 220, Roller flour mill 840-850 (50 kg), Maida 890-900 (50 kg) and Sooji 990-1,010 (50 kg).
