JAMMU, Apr 12: Vice-president JKPCC and MLA Inderwal, GM Saroori today said that Kashmiri Pandits should return to their ancestral properties and live under composite culture and environment.
“Only politics have been done on Pandits from ages”, Saroori said and added that there are still hundreds of Pandits living in Valley and doing business over there. He said that the Government should not divide people in the name of religion or security.
Saroori also called for strengthening the Health Services in rural areas especially district Doda and Kishtwar. He demanded immediate filling up of vacant posts of doctors in district Kishtwar and Doda besides posting one Dental surgeon and Gynecologist in each PHC of rural areas where there is urgent need for that.
Saroori pressed the Government for immediate posting of medical assistant and para-medical staff for sub-centres and ISM centres so that people of rural areas won’t face any hardship in this regard.
“In order to bring optimum transparency into the functioning of CA&PD Department and to minimize the chances of complaints against the private ration dealers”, Saroori said that Government should take new initiative policy to convert the existing Private Fair Price shops and Sale Centres working on internal adjustment basis into Government Controlled Depots.
He also demanded opening of new sale outlets in Inderwal constituency including Kither, Chingam, Passerkote, Poora Chandali, Bhata, Naidgam, Singpora, Bonda, Bhatpura, Burdhar, Sarthal, Mugalmaidan, Kuchal, Chingam, Chatroo, Sigdi, Thakrie, Thathri, Phigsoo, Kahara, Bhalessa and other areas.
Maintaining that pending liabilities on account of food grains in district Kishtwar and Doda are around 1800 and 1900 quintals, respectively, Saroori demanded early clearance of food grains liabilities in the twin districts at the earliest.
He further demanded early electrification of 10,380 BPL Consumers in Inderwal which were identified for electrification under RGGVY and start on RGGVY Phase II work which will cover all the uncovered villages for electrification.
