JAMMU, Apr 12: The inmates of Muthi Camp held a strong protest demonstration against the Hurriyat, separatists and MLA Engineer Rashid for opposing a composite township within Valley for rehabilitation of militancy victims.
The protest was led by T N Kaul. The protestors condemned the statements of anti-social elements and held them responsible for the killing of hundreds members of the community in Kashmir Valley that led to the mass exodus of the community.
The protestors said that the militants and separatists responsible for these killings who should have been behind the bars are roaming freely.
The protestors said when a separate colony was established for Tibetans rehabilitation in Kashmir why no body raised hue and cry and when a separate colony for Dal dwellers why no body objected. This was because they belonged to majority community, they added.
They said a hue and cry was raised when the Government talked of constructing a composite township for the militancy victims in which besides Pandits the members of other communities can also be settled.
They said the healing touch policy was framed and rehabilitation of militants families was taken up in hand because they all belonged to majority community.
The protestors said that KPs have lost their all movable and immovable properties and they are facing injustice for last 26 years now. The protestors while strongly advocating for permanent rehabilitation of Pandits said there should be such a fool proof system that no migration takes place in future.
Meanwhile, AMCCC, and Jagti Welfare Committee have given a Jagti bandh call on Tuesday as a mark of protest against the separatists and other main stream parties opposed to Pandits settlement in Valley. In a joint statement Desh Rattan and Pinto Ji the representatives of two organizations said that Pandits will intensify struggle for homeland within Valley.
