SRINAGAR, Apr 12: Chadoora police arrested three burglars and recovered stolen items worth several lakhs from their possession.
According to Dr Shailendra Mishra, SDPO, Charar-e-Sharief, during last few months some burglary cases were registered with police station Chadoora. The burglars had adopted a modus operandi of shops breaking in wee hours and siphoning off goods like mobile phones, edible oils, spices, cable wires, etc, he added.
He disclosed that cases have been registered in this regard and a special team was constituted, which was headed by SHO Chadoora Inspector Manzoor Ahmed.
The team arrested three burglars and recovered edible oils and spices worth Rs 15 lakh, mobile phones worth Rs 5 lakhs and other materials including cable wires worth Rs 1.5 lakhs, SDPO stated.
Further investigations into the cases are going on.
