MENDHAR, Apr 13: A large number of parents whose children study in various private schools of this sub division held protest at Shahidi Yadgar, Mendhar and then submitted a memorandum to the local administration.
A large number of people of the town and various adjoining villages assembled at Shahidi Yadgar, Mendhar today and held protest. They were raising slogans against the Private School managements and State Education authorities. They alleged that there was no control of the Government on these schools and managements were demanding excessive fee from the parents. The children are also being forced to purchase books, bags and other material from the schools at very high rates while set of books are available in the market at reasonable price. Every year fee and promotional fee is hiked at their sweet will and there is no control of concerned CEO or the Director School Education on them. The parents are being victimized.
Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Sub Divisional Magistrate and the Tehsildar Mendhar for CEO Poonch and the Deputy Commissioner.
