JAMMU, Apr 14: An unidentified man was hit and injured by an unknown vehicle at Satwari Chowk late last night.
According to the reports, in a hit and run case a 40-years old unknown person was hit by an unknown vehicle at Satwari Chowk at about 11 pm last night. In the mishap, the man received serious injuries.
On getting reports, a police team headed by SHO Satwari, Inspector Kulbir Choudhary reached the spot and shifted the injured person to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, where he succumbed to his injuries in the wee hours today.
The body of the deceased, whose identity is yet to be ascertained, has been shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for identification.
The police has registered a case FIR No 63/2015 U/S 279/337/304 A and started investigations.
