JAMMU, Apr 14: Due to landslides near Ragi Nallah, the vehicular movement on Kishtwar-Batote national Highway came to standstill.
As per police sources, landslide took place at Raggi Nallah near Assar this morning, leading to stranding of vehicles carrying essential commodities.
After getting information, concerned authorities reached the spot with men and machinery and started work to restore the vehicular movement, but it was not restored till late night.
The vehicles on both the sides are stranded and work was on to restore the movement of the vehicles on the National Highway.
Due to closure of the highway, the areas dependent on the highway are facing problems as the essential commodities needed by the people could not reach to them.
SSP Highway Sanjay Kotwal told the Excelsior that the work is on to restore the vehicular movement on the highway it will be restored by tomorrow.
