DODA, Apr 15: A Head Constable (HC) was killed, while four others were injured in road accidents.
As per reports, Maruti car bearing registration JK0IG-8489 was on its way from Prem Nagar to Doda when the driver failed to negotiate a sharp curve and the vehicle plunged into 100 meter deep gorge near Nai Basti, Khrara, resulting into on the spot death of driver.
The body of the deceased identified as Aalm Din (Head Constable), son of Ghulam Mohammad of Dhrabshalla, tehsil Thatri, district Doda was shifted to District Hospital Doda, where after conducting autopsy, it was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, four persons were injured when the Alto car they were traveling in, skidded off the road and landed into a gorge at Galgander on Bhaderwah-Doda road.
The Alto car bearing registration number JK02AU-9695 was on its way to Bhaderwah from Doda when it met with an accident near Galgander.
All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Doda, from where one of the injured was referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Jammu for advanced treatment.
The injured have been identified as Raksha, daughter of Jhangir Chowdhary of Hawellai Mohalla, Gulshan Banoo, daughter of Ghulam Mohammad of Marwah, Rubani Dar, son of Bashir Ahmed and Shazia Begum, wife of Jhangir Choudhary of Havelli Mohallah, Bhaderwah.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
