JAMMU, Apr 15: Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the World Trade Centre India Services Council (VERBIND) to promote and facilitate trade, business and investment along with technology transfer, education, providing advisory and consultancy for trade, industry and companies operating in the J&K region.
While speaking on the occasion, Chamber of Commerce & Industry president Rakesh Gupta said that it is a historic moment wherein, CCI Jammu has joined hands with the World Trade Centre to promote business opportunities for members of business community of J&K State.
In this regard CCI will conduct joint seminars with the WTC (VERBIND) and also organize training workshops for the members. It will also jointly work for promoting human capital development and train start-ups and entrepreneurs by providing them access to global markets/ mentors. Both VERBIND and CCI will jointly work on establishing reciprocity in terms of knowledge.
He assured that in order to give boost to trading and industrial community of the State, Chamber of Commerce & Industry will also tie up with agencies and departments like Director International Centre for cross cultural research & Human resource management, University of Jammu to conduct and publish research papers on the various social & economic issues. VERBIND will provide an office space to CCI to open a Trade Desk in order to facilitate Global Trade Community. CCI shall also allow VERBIND to display its Board in its Premises at prominent location which will be used for providing VERBIND publications and News Letters to its members.
Ms Khair Ul Nisa, Director (INDIA HEAD) -WTC SERVICES congratulated CCI on this occasion. She said that both CCI & WTC will hold joint awareness programs / sessions for creating Brand INDIA with focus innovation. By virtue of signing MoU CCI Members names along with their Email-ID shall be displayed on VERBIND digital platform.
Among others present on the occasion included Sham Lal Langer, Arun Gupta, secretary general, Rahul Mahajan, and Ashu Gupta.
