JAMMU, Apr 17: Publicity Secretary J&K PCC Nadeem Sharief Niaz has said that the house arrest of separatist leaders is an eye wash.
In a statement Nadeem Sharief said that preventive custody (House Arrest) of separatist leaders is an attempt made by the PDP-BJP coalition Government and is just an eye wash.
He said that the Government has made preventive custody of those who were involved in anti-national activities in outskirts of Srinagar.
Nadeem demanded that the Home Ministry should answer the people of the country in general and people of the State in particular that why those separatist leaders have been released during Governor rule and now have created unrest in the State.
He said that Union Home Ministry has compromised with national and State security by not imposing PSA on those who have been spreading venom in past few months.
He said that the NDA Government has miserably failed to bring peace in Jammu and Kashmir and have encouraged anti national elements to voice against nation by acting soft on them.
Nadeem also said that Government has faced humiliation by recent protests by farmers for their anti-farmers/neglected attitude and hence have been playing with national security to divert attention of public who has been feeling befooled by the Government.
He demanded that PSA should be imposed against those who have brought unrest in State and demanded that Government should not play filthy and mediocre politics for mere petty political benefits.
He said that Government has also created ambiguity over the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits by not making any concrete plan for their rehabilitation and said that after resentment shown by separatists over the issue, Government has come on backfoot.
Nadeem has said that Government has shown no interest on compensation to the affected people whose houses have severely been damaged due to recent heavy rains and floods.
He blamed that Government have left these affected people stranded after all roads of State particularly the district Doda have been damaged due to these rains and the people of this area are facing hardships.
