JAMMU, Aug 8: A unique mega project of Dogri picture “Geetian’’ was launched here today.
The producer of the film Arun Sharma and associate producer, Sunil Bandral also screened the trailer of the film on this occasion which left the audience and media-persons stunned with its strong visual and technical expertise. A brief teaser shown hardly for a two-three minutes indicated that the film will incorporate all the ingredients of the modern day film making set up and utilize the latest technical ingredients making it a unique attempt and serious film making in regional language cinema in the north.
Mr Bandral disclosed that this film which is scheduled to be released in the latter part of 2013 will usher in new era of film making in Jammu which has seen the release of a few films in Dogri in the recent past. He further disclosed that film is being produced by Arun Sharma, Tazeem Dar and Megha Sharma under the banner of SAAR Films & Co, produced by Dar Communication, Angular Films and Film Waves. Ravi Shanker is the executive producer of the film.
Tanveer Dar is playing the lead role in the film while the other cast are Raghunand Bali, Master Akram, Rahul, Mahesh Puri and Mushtaq Kak. Tanveer who has experience of working in Hindi film industry said that he was very excited with the project. He said the film has been conceived and is being extended with the finest ingredients of film making. Bharat Arora is the director of photography.
