JAMMU, Aug 8: Arnas police in Reasi district today rescued two kidnapped girls and arrested their kidnappers.
Manju Devi, 16, daughter of Parlhad Singh R/o Gaadi, Arnas, who had been kidnapped by Madan Lal of Kotli, Reasi yesterday, was rescued today by the police.
After medical examination, police sent the girl to Neha Ghar in Jammu while the kidnapper was produced before the court, which sent him to judicial lock-up till August 18.
Another girl, Zubaida Bano of Bathoi, Mahore, who had been kidnapped by Mohammad Iqbal of Thanol, Arnas in April this year, was rescued by the police. The accused has been arrested and the girl restored to her family.
Police parties headed by SHO Arnas Inspector Satpal Modi made the arrests under the supervision of SSP Reasi Raghubir Singh.
