Migrants pin high hopes on Relief, Rehabilitation Minister

JAMMU, Apr 19: A joint meeting of Jagti Migrants Welfare committee, Voice of KPs, AMCCC was held under Roshan Lal Raina today in which various burning issues including delay in the supply of ration and relief were discussed.
While addressing the meeting, Pintoo Ji (JMWC) expressed his satisfaction over the steps and initiatives taken by Relief and Rehabilitation Minister by convening a meeting with all the concerned officers of various departments to mitigate the problems of KPs and termed it a positive development.
He expressed the hope for immediate implementation of minutes of the meeting. The initiative taken by Minister regarding Simplification of bifurcation, issuing of RBA, distribution of early ration supply, adequate availability of medicines, proper water supply and electricity, adequate staff to camp school, repair and renovation of building/parks/lanes and drains, holding of employment drive under UDAAN etc will act as CBM in the community.
The members appealed the Minister that Government, should declare Jagti as notified area and also provide a monthly allowance/stipend of Rs 5000 to overaged educated youth and immediate enhancement of cash relief, construction of exam hall for Hr Sec. School Jagti, construction of play      ground, installation of public library, construction of public convenience point in the camp under implementation of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, construction of bund along the road side of the Camp eroded due to the recent rains, launching of Police recruitment drive and check on commodities in the camp market.
The member demanded that Old age Home and Paying Guest House  and 40 bedded Hospital at Jagti be made functional.
Others who spoke on the occasion included Vir Ji Belove (JMWC), Desh Rattan & Raj N. Dhar,(AMCCC), Ravinder Raina ,Sunil Kumar, K.V, T.K.Dhar and Sanjay Ji.
Meanwhile, PDP leader and Ex-Sarpanch Nana Ji Raina has also termed the steps taken by Relief and Rehabilitation Minister, Mr Bukhari and Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, R K Pandita will act as a CBM for the community. He said simplification of bifurcation process, RBA certificates issuance, launching of employment drive and improving health care and education facilities were the long pending demands of the community.
