JAMMU, Apr 20: Bank employees of Jammu spearheaded by Jammu Province Bank Employees Federation (JPBEF) observed 70th Foundation Day of their national organization —All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), here today.
The celebrations started with paying of floral tribute to HL Parvana, Prabhakar and Tarakeshwarborti, the icons of AIBEA, who by virtue of their hardwork had founded AIBEA 70 years earlier.
The tributes were paid to the leaders of AIBEA at Federation Office, Jammu, this morning. A large number of employees from all banks of Jammu converged at Federation Office Jammu for paying the floral tributes.
The bank employees again assembled at Shalamar Chowk in the evening and hoisted the AIBEA flag. Besides, the employees took a pledge to fight all such policies of the Government that seek to inject an element of insecurity in bank jobs and job security. The employees also pledged to improve the customer service in banks and repulse the anti-labour/anti-poor reforms in banking sector.
While addressing the gathering, Arun Kumar Gupta, general secretary of the Federation, asked all bank employees to remain dedicated to their banks and promote public interest by their hardwork, honesty and dedication.
The gathering was also addressed by Mohd Ashfaq, general secretary, J&K Bank Association, who asked the gathering to remain ever united in the noble cause of the employee’s interest and also act as watchdogs of public interest in their respective banks.
Among others who spoke on the occasion were Ashwani Pardhan, Vijay Zutshi, Ganesh Kumar, RK Bamba, Manjeet Singh, TK Tikoo, Nariani, Anil Gupta, Kamal Kapoor, Rama Kant, Dinesh Gupta, Shivani, Sanjeev Lamba, Adarsh Gupta, Vinod Gandotra and Pankaj Sharma.
