JAMMU, Apr 20: Terming the situation in Kashmir grave, the Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) today said that the Pak sponsored terrorism through Hurriyat Conference and some main stream political parties has created an alarming situation in the Valley.
Talking to reporters here today, R K Bhat president YAIKS said the people of Kashmir who in large numbers have voted to strengthen the democracy in the State under Indian Constitution during the last year Assembly elections should come out again against such forces who are inimical to restoration of peace and brotherhood in Valley and are posing a threat to Kashmiriyat.
Making a dig at Swami Agnivesh who came in support of secessionist elements in the Valley Bhat demanded that he be put behind the bars. He said people like Swami are trying to undermine the sacrifices of Kashmiri Pandits living an exiled life for last 26 years in their own country for the sake of national cause.
Bhat asked Swami not to speak on behalf of Pandits and refrain from dictating terms that how to live and where to live.
He said why Swami maintained a stoic silence on the plight of KPs who were massacred, tortured and whose properties were set ablaze in Valley by the terrorists and their sympathizers.
Bhat said when about 2000 KP youth joined their services in Valley for the sake of restoring the composite culture and revive the age old traditions of Kashmir, the ISI and its agents are hell bent to spoil the environment in Valley and create fear psychosis among the Pandits especially the youth who were appointed under PM’s employment package.
He said it is the responsibility of Government to ensure the security of these people by providing fool proof security to them. Bhat warned that if prevailing situation continues in Valley, the YAIKS will be left with no option but ask the youth to migrate from Valley. He said majority of youth serving in Valley are without accommodation when it was the responsibility of the Government. He also condemned the Government’s attitude of deducting HRA from their salaries.
Bhat termed the recent meeting of Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation with senior officers of Relief including Relief Commissioner as totally disappointing. He warned that in case demands were not met the YAIKS will be forced to resort to agitation.
Sunil Koul, vice president, YAIKS, Manoj Handoo its general secretary, Ajay Safaya , joint secretary, Sanjay Ganjoo, Ajay Raina, D N Bhat (advisor) and others were present in the press conference.
