JAMMU, Apr 21: The activists of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena held strong protest against the CAPD authorities for its failure to ensure adequate ration supplies to the consumers.
Under the leadership of Ashok Gupta, the workers of both the bodies took out a procession at Resham Garh by holding empty utensils on their shoulders and empty bottles in their hands against the black marketing and non availability of ration in city and rural areas. They alleged that CAPD Department is not providing Kerosene oil to the people.
To highlight the alleged negligence, irregularities and irresponsible attitude in providing proper ration distribution, keeping the genuine BPL card holders away from their allotted ration quota, a large number of registered consumers of surrounding areas under the banner of Jammu Dogra Front and Shiv Sena held a protest demonstration against CAPD department.
They alleged that negligence on the part of CAPD is so high that the only responsibility with the department is to supply ration to the consumers with the tie up with the FCI but CAPD has not been able to provide ration. Mr Gupta said if the department can’t do this much work then the CAPD should be abolished and the work of supplying the ration should be transferred to the private company.
