Sat Sharma discusses traffic problem with officers

JAMMU, Apr 21: To overcome the problem of Traffic Jams in Jammu West, BJP MLA Sat Sharma (CA) met officials from various Departments including JMC (Jammu Municipal Corporation), Traffic Police Department, R&B (Roads and Building) Department, Irrigation department and others and showed his concern for the worsening problem of Traffic in the area. JMC Commissioner Soujanya Sharma, IG Traffic JP Singh, DIG Traffic Ashkoor Wani, SSP Traffic Mohan Lal and several other officials were present and the MLA along with officials also toured the spots where traffic has become problem for Jammuites.
In a press statement issued, Sat Sharma (CA) said that in his election campaign he promised that he will do his best to solve the problem of traffic jams in the Constituency and the right time has come now to work on the problem or else it would get worsened day by day and create ruckus in coming times.
He said various issues were discussed with the officials and immediate steps were taken in order to improve the traffic system which included widening of bridge at Canal head, widening of chowk opposite to Pawan Ice Cream, overhead bridge near Interrogation Centre, doubling of bridge at BSF Paloura, making dividers and installation of traffic lights near Bakshi Nagar Hospital (GMC), opening of Rehari Chungi crossing (One way), installation of traffic lights and dividers from Mian Dido Chowk to Jaggi Darbar, Paloura and various other necessary issues were also discussed in order to overcome the problem of Traffic Jams in Jammu West.
BJP Senior leader Sanjay Baru, BJP Mandal presidents Ayodhya Gupta & Praduman Singh, Sanjay Sawhney, Dr Akshay Sharma, Ankush and others also accompanied the MLA during his visit in the areas.
