KATRA, Apr 21: Katra Police today arrested a bootlegger and seized 72 pouches of liquor from his possession.
The accused, identified as Madan Lal of Dhok Khalsa, Akhnoor, was smuggling the liquor in a van JK02K-4696 when a Police party from Katra intercepted him and arrested.
A case under Excise Act has been registered in this connection.
Meanwhile, another bootlegger was arrested from Reasi town and 38 pouches of smuggled liquor were seized from his possession. The accused was identified as Jamal Ram.
