NEW DELHI : The Pakistan High Commission today approached the Ministry of External Affairs(MEA) here to share the details of seizure of two Pakistani boats by the Indian Navy and the Coast Gurad off Porbandar coast.
The suspicious boat allegedly carrying about 200 Kg heroine was seized on Monday and its eight sailors were arrested.
According to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), the confiscation of heroin was one of India’s biggest recorded heroin seizures.
Of late, there has been a rise in heroin smuggled from Afghanistan via Pakistan through Kashmir and western coastal border areas.
A statement from the Pakistan High Commission said it had formally approached the MEA to share details of two Pakistani boats and arrest of their crew, as reported by the Indian media.
