SAYBO, BABA Yatri Niyas delegations meet Governor

JAMMU, Apr 23: A five member delegation led by Rajan Kapoor, who is President of Shree Amarnath Yatra Bhandara Organisation (SAYBO) met N. N. Vohra, Governor, at the Raj Bhavan here. The delegation submitted a memorandum and discussed various issues relating to the number and location of Langars in the Yatra area.
The Governor asked P.K. Tripathi, CEO Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, who was present in the meeting, to look into SAYBO’s suggestions and urged SAYBO to ensure that the Langars take all required steps for maintaining cleanliness in their premises throughout the Yatra period and at the time of winding up their establishments.
Other members of the SAYBO delegation included Ramesh Chander, Rajiv Sethi, Vijay Prabhakar and Prem Kumar.
Meanwhile, a five member delegation of Baba Amarnath and Buda Amarnath (BABA) Yatri Niyas, led by Surinder Agarwal, met Governor.
The delegation submitted a memorandum and discussed various issues relating to the forthcoming Yatras of Shri Amarnathji and Buda Amarnathji.
The Niyas requested the Governor for a large number of Langars being allowed to be set up in Shri Amarnathji Yatra area. The delegation also sought the support of the Governor, who is Chairman of the Shri Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, for the construction of a Yatri Bhawan at Rajouri for providing round-the-year facilities to the Buda Amarnathji Yatries.
The Governor assured the delegation that the Chief Executive Officers of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board will early examine their suggestions.
Other members of the BABA Yatri Niyas delegation included Karan Singh Charak, Rajesh Gupta, Sudershan Khajuria and Shakti Dutt Sharma.
