‘Janamashtami’ celebrated with religious fervour across Jammu

JAMMU, Aug 9: Janamashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna was celebrated across the State with religious fervour and gaiety. Students attired in colourful dresses presented various cultural programme on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna.
GD Goenka Public School celebrated Janamashtami with enthusiasm and religious fervour. The celebration in the senior wing began with a prayer dedicated to Lord Krishna followed by Raas Leela and a Kathak performance by the girls of class VI, VII and VIII. The students of primary wing presented Bhakti Raas a mythological bonanza. Krishna Jhanki displayed by the toddlers depicting Gokal Dham was the main highlight of the programme.
The Kindergarden students of Stephens International Public School (Dr Aparna Kids Kingdom) celebrated birthday of Lord Krishna in an extravagant manner. Toddlers dressed colourfully in the attire of Kanha, Radha and Gopis spread the festive spree of Janamasthami. Makhan Handi was the most enjoyable moment of the day. Fancy dress competition was also organised.
Apple Kids International Pre School, Bantalab celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour. The celebration began with a brief speech delivered by Principal explaining the importance of the festival. A Handi breaking competition was organised in which students took part actively.
Janamashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour by Shiksha Niketan Senior Secondary School, Jeevan Nagar. The day was commemorated by various soul-igniting performances and hymns, which enchanted the audience. The spiritual display by the students was a feast for the eye.
May Fair Higher Secondary School celebrated Janamasthami with great joy. On the occasion, Vijay Basur, Chairman of the school was the chief guest. During the celebration, students participated in fancy dress and special religious programmes.
DRS Kids Bantalab celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour and gaiety. Kids attired in colourful dresses as Krishna and Radha, depicted the teachings of Lord Krishna.
Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri nagar celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour. The children of Nursery, KG and class 1st attired in colourful dress depicted the various poses of Lord Krishna. A small Jhanki of Lord Krishna was also organised, followed by cultural items including dance depicting Radha’s eternal and devotional love towards Lord Krishna.
Janamashtami was celebrated with great joy at Shree Sai Gurukul School, Lakhdatta Bazaar. Children attired in colourful dresses displayed cultural prograame on the life of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha.
SD Tara Puri Public High School, Gandhi Nagar celebrated Janamashtami with great zeal and enthusiasm. Children presented cultural programme in a beautiful way.
On the eve of Janamashtami, a colourful celebration was presented in the school premises by the students of Banyan International School. The toddlers of the primary sections put up a spectacular show, which was a display of their budding talent.
KC Gurukul Public School, Paloura celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour and gaiety. The scholars of the junior and middle school wings, demonstrated their skills in dance, music and dramatics ion order to celebrate the day.
Sai Shyam Public School, Ghou Manhasa celebrated Janamashtami with great enthusiasm and fervour in the school premises. Students presented various cultural items depicting the teachings of Lord Krishna.
TS Public School and Euro Kids celebrated Janamashtami with religious fevour and gaiety. Children dressed as Radha and Krishna, mesmerized the audience with their performances.
Janamashtami was celebrated at Vishwa Bharti Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur with traditional fervour and gaiety. BMS Pathania, Principal of the school was the chief guest. The programme started with Sarasvati Vandana followed by the religious and patriotic songs, speeches and dances to the tunes of Janamasthami songs.
Shemrock International School, Bantalab celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour and gaiety. As an outgoing activity, children were taken to ISKCON temple.
KC Playway School, BC Road celebrated Janamashtami with great joy and fun. Tiny tots attired as adorable Radha and Krishna added colours to the school atmosphere. In a special assembly, the tiny tots sang prayers, Bhajans, and Aartis in praise of Lord Krishna.
The students and staff of Kidz Paradise Nursery and Kindergarden School, Shamachak today celebrated Janamashtami with fanfare and zeal in the school premises.
Nav Yug Play Way School celebrated Janamashtami with zeal and enthusiasm. Various cultural programmes including fancy dress competition, dances, skits highlighting the Lord Krishna’s life were organised.
Khazani Women Polytechnic, Jeevan Nagar celebrated Janamashtami with religious fervour and gaiety.
Janamashtami was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety at KS Public School. On the occasion, students presented skit on Krishna Sudama friendship.
