NCSU organises awareness camp in JU Campus

JAMMU, Aug 9: National Conference Students Union (NCSU) today organised an awareness programme in Jammu University to educate students and research scholars about PSG and RTI Act.
Addressing the gathering, provincial president, NCSU, Rakesh Singh Chib, said that Omar Abdullah led coalition Government in the State is committed to empower the people and make governance more energetic, responsive, transparent and accountable.
Throwing light on the PSG Act, he said that it touches the daily lives of the people and ensures accountability and timely delivery of day-to-day services and in case of any delay, the concerned Government officials are liable to the punishment while the affected individual would be rewarded for his lapse by the Government functionary out of the fine imposed on the erring official.
He described the Act a powerful legislation in the hands of the people.
A large number of youth joined NCSU and expressed full faith in the leadership of president, J&K National Conference, Dr Farooq Abdullah, who is working for the welfare of the people.
