Srinagar, Apr 25: An Assistant Sub-Inspector of Central Reserve police Force (CRPF) today died under mysterious circumstance in Awantipora area of South Kashmir.
The CRPF officer, Avtar Singh (belt no. 903881109) was found dead at Jawbrara camp in Awantipora. He was shifted to a nearby hospital, however, doctors declared him brought dead.
Police has registered a case under 174 CrPC and started further investigations.
Singh hailed from Punjab and his body has been sent to his native village after necessary formalities.
