JAMMU, Aug 9: Army and police today destroyed a hideout of the militants at village Dayan, about five kilometers north of Mughal Maidan in Kishtwar district
Kishtwar police, troops of Rashtriya Rifles and Territorial Army of Counter Insurgency Force Delta conducted a joint operation at Dayan this morning and destroyed a hideout of the militants.
Recoveries made from the hideout included three kg explosives, one country made rifle, three bundles of cable, three detonators, one remote fitted IED, 10 rounds of .303 ammunition, nine round of AK ammunition, one khukhri and one oil bottle.
Police and Army conducted searches in the village. However, no arrests were made from the spot.
