23 scribes get Matri Shree media awards

NEW DELHI, Apr 26:
Twenty three journalists from print and electronic media were conferred with 40th Matri Shree Media Awards for fearless journalism, in the Capital here today.
The awards were presented to the scribes at a ceremony that was attended by several dignitaries including MPs Manoj Tiwari and Ramesh Bidhuri.
Award winning journalists are Adiya Narain Chopra (Punjab Kesari New Delhi), Rinku Bahera (UNI), Preeti Kannojiya (UNIVARTA), Sanjay Anand (PTI), Ajay Srivastava (Bhasha), Sehnawaz Malik (Nav Bharat Times), Gaurav Gupta (Sadhna TV Channel), Anurag Mishra (Dainik Hindustan), Nemesh  Mahant (Dainik Jagran), Pawan Kumar (Amar Ujala), Ajay Nethani (Rashtriya Sahara), Mekhala Gupta(Sandhya Times).
Dr Arvind Kumar (SAR Economist), Shahbaz (PTI-Photographer), Kapil Sharma (Aajtak TV), Jitendra Chohan (Total TV), Preet Kiran (Channel-One), Dr Mahendra Dubey (DD), Lalit Chaturvedi (Akashvani & Chadadi Kalan), Sumit Chaudhary (News Nation),  Prakash Tiwari (Cameraman India News) and Ravi Singh (IBN) also received the awards.
Film Mary Kom was also awarded at the function. Former MLA Shyam Lal Garg was felicitated for social services. Feature film Mary Kom was also screened on the occasion. (UNI)
