ISM issues promotion orders of pharmacists

JAMMU, Apr 26: The Indian System of Medicines (ISM) has promoted 24 head pharmacists, 55 supervisory pharmacists and 56 senior pharmacists in Jammu Division.
The promotions were made on the basis of recommendations made by Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) of Jammu Division. The orders of promotion were issued by Director General ISM, Dr Abdul Kabir Dar.
The orders were handed over to newly promoted employees by Minister of Health and Medical Education, ARI Trainings, Choudhary Lal Singh at a simple but impressive function here.
Meanwhile the Non Gazetted ISM Employees Association termed it a major relief to the employees of the organization. They said that by this order various long pending demands of the employees have been redressed by the Department.
The Association said that this is for the first time in the history of ISM that the re-organization in the technical staff took place there by creating the posts of head pharmacists, supervisory pharmacists, and senior pharmacists. Earlier the employees had a grievance that they retire on the same posts on which they were appointed. With this decision the employees of the Department heaved a sigh of relief.
The Association said that the promotions and re-organization was result of keen interest taken by Dr Abdul Kabir Dar in this regard.
The Association leaders including its provincial president Ashok Magotra, district Jammu president, Hakam Din Malik, Vijay Dubey general secretary, Devinder Singh, cashier, Vijay Singh, general secretary of Kathua district termed the decision of the Minister and DG ISM as a visionary step.
