UDHAMPUR, Apr 27: In order to provide better governance and to reach out to the people, Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology Pawan Gupta convened a public grievances redressal camp at Jakhani here today.
A large number of people attended the camp and put forth their demands and problems being faced by them which include electricity & water supply, road connectivity to Sharda Mata & Panchayat Thanoa to Kaldi, tractor road at Hartryan, Madrasa upto eighth class, fencing of graveyards , shed for Janaza-gah, provision of lighting in graveyards, installation of hand pump near Masjid at Jakhani, construction of lanes in Jakhani area, posting of Urdu teachers in various schools, relief compensation for crop and land damage due to heavy rain.
Mr. Gupta said that he is well aware of the problems of the people and assured that their grievances would be redressed in a phased manner at the earliest.
He informed that the road connectivity to Sharda village is likely to be started soon with an estimated cost of Rs. 3.5 crore. He said that Government’s priority is to provide basic facilities like water, electricity and road connectivity in the district. He called upon the people to come forward to avail the benefits of various income generating schemes of Agriculture and its allied departments during the Kissan Melas to be held in near future.
