JAMMU, Apr 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Dharmarth Trust has dispatched over five hundred blankets as part of relief material for Nepal.
The relief material has been donated to The Global Education and Leadership Foundation (TGELF) that is reaching out to the people of Nepal to provide relief through their initiative, ‘TGELF for Nepal’.
The relief material is scheduled to reach Nepal tomorrow by air. The foundation is said to have a strong and extensive local team for the distribution of the relief material.
Trustee of the J&K Dharmarth Trust and MLC, Vikramaditya Singh in a statement said that, ‘in the aftermath of the earthquake that has caused widespread devastation and loss of thousands of lives in Nepal, the J&K Dharmarth Trust hereby extends its support to the relief efforts for the thousands affected’.
He further said that, ‘having witnessed such devastation in our home State due to recent natural calamity, we understand the loss and sufferings of Nepal during such events.
