JAMMU, Apr 29: Senior BJP leader Yudhvir Sethi along with BJP leaders Narotam Sharma and Vipan Shastri visited the enrolment camp organised Ms. Jaswinder Kour and her team at Bantalab near here today where she has so far enrolled over 5000 members and the drive is still on.
Sethi is his address said efforts of Ms Kour need encouragement as she has shown commendable dedication towards the enrolment drive and has set a new mark for others to follow.
He said the membership drive launched by Party President Amit Shah has received overwhelming response all over the country and more and more people from different walks of life are joining the Party. The BJP has created history by becoming single largest political party with maximum number of members in world.
“We have already crossed the national target of 10 crore members and very soon target of J&K for 10 lac members would be achieved,” he added.
Jassi, Ms. Kanchan, Komal, Harpreet Singh, Rishikesh, Rajeev, Anu Pandita and Rajat Ghardhari were among the prominent people who were present on the occassion.
He said in the State already the membership drive has crossed 8 lacs and shortly the drive will reach its targeted figure.
“Overwhelming response to the membership drive is a clear indication of the fact that more and more people are posing faith in ideology of BJP,” he added.
Maintaining that Central Government is fully backing the State Government and has provided all assistance needed by it, he said during the recent natural calamities in the State the quick response for rescue, relief and rehabilitation was made possible only with active support of Union government for the State.
He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the Union Government has set new landmarks in the field of foreign policy, governance and public service, adding that the overwhelming support of people for the party in the state is a history in itself.
