POONCH, Apr 30: Two persons died when a Tata Sumo vehicle rolled down from Chatta Pani on Mughal Road, late last night.
The deceased were identified as Riyaz Ahmad, son of Shakil Ahmad of Gursai Morh and Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din, son of Haji Nissar of Alal, Thannamandi Rajouri.
The Tata Sumo vehicle, bearing registration number JK12-9014, was on way from Peer Ki Gali to Surankote when it skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge resulting into on the spot death of both the occupants.
The vehicle was spotted in the wee hours today and on getting information, SDPO Surankote Ajay Sharma rushed to the spot. With the help of 16-RR and SDRF team, bodies of the deceased were retrieved from the damaged vehicle after hours long operation.
