UDHAMPUR, Apr 30: Udhampur Police today distributed school items, including school uniform, school bags, and shoes among needy children belonging to poor and below poverty line families.
Under Civic Action programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the school items were distributed among the students of Government High School Garnai, Government Middle School Daghar and Government High School Ranga Ramnagar.
Giving details, Mohd Suleman Choudhary, SSP Udhampur said that in its initiatives to come closure to the downtrodden sections of society, about 96 students scrutinized in the different schools of district Udhampur by the schools committee were distributed with articles like school uniforms, shoes, bags and books like Oxford Dictionary, Atlas, Geometry Box etc.
At Government High School Garnai and Government Middle School Daghar, SHO Police Station Rehmbal distributed these items among 86 needy children and at Government High School Ranga Ramnagar, 10 needy children were provided these items.
