JAMMU, May 1: 2nd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu, M K Sharma today awarded rigorous life-imprisonment and fine of Rs 5000 to Bhuvnesh Singh, who committed the murder of one Anil Singh over old rivalry.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi for the accused persons whereas Special PP BR Gupta for the State, court observed, “ Pardeep Singh, another accused in this case, was juvenile in conflict with law as defined in the J&K Juvenile Justice (Care & Protection of Children) Act”.
“This Act came into force on April 24, 2014 when the case was at the stage of defence evidence and this court has now come to the conclusion that the juvenile Pardeep Singh has committed the offences of which he has been charged”, 2nd Additional Sessions Judge said, adding “the juvenile is shifted to Juvenile Board through APP KA Qazi to pass order in respect of the juvenile in accordance with provisions”.
“In case, the Juvenile Board has not been constituted then juvenile shall be produced before the CJM, Jammu”, the court said.
