MENDHAR, May 1: A large number of local labourers held protest demonstration against RDD and demanded release of their wages under NREGA pending for the last two years.
A large number of workers led by Abdul Majid assembled at Shahidi Yadgar Mendhar and held protest for some time. They were shouting slogans against the BDO, Mendhar and ACD Poonch besides Director Rural Development Jammu for not releasing pending NREGA wages of the workers. Later, they submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar Dr Khabir for the concerned minister.
