HDFC Bank hands over barricades to J&K Police for ensuring road safety

JAMMU, May 2: In order to help District Police Jammu in ensuring smooth flow of vehicular traffic, improving road safety and to keep vigil over the activities of anti-social and anti-national elements, HDFC Bank, today handed over 100 barricades to Jammu Police, in a function organized at District Police Line, Jammu.
On the occasion, Danish Rana, IGP Jammu Zone was the chief guest, whileas Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu, Udhey Bhaskar Billa, SP City South/Operations Jammu, Randheer Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu, Shiv Kumar Chohan, SP North, Sandeep Choudhary, SDPO City West, Perbeet Singh, SDPO City North, Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SDPO City East, YS Slathia, DySP, DAR, DPL Jammu, Ajay Singh, LO DPL Jammu, HDFC, Sachin Mahajan, Deputy Vice President and Cluster Head, HDFC Bank and Parvinder Singh, Senior Manager were also present.
Danish Rana, IGP Jammu Zone, said that these barricades will be used for regulating traffic in the areas, separating vehicle ways and pedestrian paths and also for crowd control on various occasions.
Deliberating further, IGP Jammu added that road safety is of paramount importance and it is vital to take adequate measures to avoid mishaps and ensuring public safety.
“Placing safety barricades is a small step in the right direction and we are pleased to have HDFC support in ensuring a safer environment for the people of Jammu”, he added.
To promote and create awareness about road safety, HDFC Bank extended its support to this safety initiative by District Police, Jammu to help them in increasing awareness about road safety and ensuring reduced road accidents in the future.
