JAMMU, May 2: Arnia police foiled a murder bid with the arrest of two criminals including ex-serviceman along with a sharp edged weapons near Rathana.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, police team from Arnia police station intercepted two persons during a community function on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered two sharp edged weapons (Khokhri) from their possession and arrested them.
The accused have been identified as Ashwani Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh and Koushal Singh (ex-serviceman), son of Rattan Singh, both residents of Rathana.
During preliminary investigation it came to fore that the accused were having some rivalry with a person, to whom they had gone to eliminate, but their bid was foiled by Arnia police.
A case under FIR number 26/15 under Section 4/25 Arms Act has been registered at Arnia police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Arnia police station Inspector Jatinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Harjeet Singh, SP Headquarters Randheer Singh and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
