Three killed, two injured in separate road mishaps

JAMMU, May 4: Three youths including a jawan of IRP were killed while two persons sustained injuries in separate roads mishaps in city and its outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a speeding tipper bearing registration number JK02AB-2851 hit a bike (having registration number JK02R-2422) this morning on National Highway at Mishriwala and killed its rider identified as Ramewshwar Singh (26) son of Suraj Singh, a resident of Pakhian in Mishriwala area.
The deceased was a Jawan of 17 Battalion IRP. The dead body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu. The Kanachak police has registered a case in this regard and started investigations.
A Head Constable of J&K Police was injured this morning when the bike he was riding on got slipped in Bagh-e-Bahu area of city outskirts. The injured official of J&K Police, who has been identified as Gharu Ram (45) son of Bariyam Dass, a resident of Phlian Mandal, was rushed to GMCH Jammu for treatment, where his condition was stated to be stable. The constable was presently attached with ex-chief secretary, BR Kundal.
Two bike-borne youths were also killed while another youth accompanying them injured when the bike they were riding rashly, hit a divider near Sidhra bridge. According to the reports the accident took place last night in which Narinder Sharma (21) son of Puran Chand and Chanchal Singh (20), both residents of Marh, received serious injuries while their another companion also suffered minor injuries.
The locals immediately shifted all the injured to GMCH, where Narinder was declared as brought dead while Chanchal succumbed to his injuries during treatment. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
